PathFindIR--thermal IR imager for vehicles
Improved Visibility
Durability for All Conditions
Compact Design, Easy to Integrate
FLIR's PathFindIR, a thermal camera system, significantly reduces the hazards of night time driving, enabling drivers to see much further, with improved clarity, than standard headlights. The PathFindIR module can be integrated into the front of new vehicle designs, or adapted for aftermarket applications. With an in-cab video monitor, drivers can now detect and monitor pedestrians and animals entering their path or hovering near the roadway, and have more time to react to the potential danger.
Improved Visibility
With video image quality, PathFindIR helps drivers detect and
recognize potential hazards in total darkness, smoke, fog, rain
and snow. The unit also allows for early identification of hazardous
road conditions such as black ice. Now, drivers can avoid collisions
with stopped or disabled vehicles, road construction equipment,
or other road debris.
Durability for All Conditions
PathFindIR™ includes the same advanced technology that FLIR
developed for the military and law enforcement agencies. As such,
PathFindIR is extremely durable, and has an operating temperature
range of -40C to +80C. PathFindIR, which has been tested, and fully
qualified for the rigors of the driving environment, also features
AUTOVOX™, a proprietary method of developing Vanadium Oxide
detectors specifically designed for demanding automotive applications.
Compact Design, Easy to Integrate
PathFindIR is compact, with the camera body approximating just 11.6
cubic inches and weighing only 12 ounces (340 grams). This size allows
for versatility of integration, and easily lets you adapt PathFindIR to
your vehicle’s specific space, weight, and power limitations .
